Jan Braaksma is adjunct hoogleraar en manager van de leerstoel Asset Management & Maintenance Engineering aan de Universiteit Twente. Hij is directeur van de WCM Summer School onderdeel van World Class Maintenance. Hij heeft gewerkt voor de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RuG) en de Nederlandse Defensie Academie (NLDA). Hij is afgestudeerd in Business en ICT en gepromoveerd in Economie en Bedrijfskunde. Jan's onderzoek richt zich op Asset Management en Maintenance Engineering met speciale aandacht voor duurzaam Asset Management, Asset Life Cycle Planning, systeemintegratie en Design for Maintenance.
