Annemarie Nanne is universitair docent Digitale Marketing binnen de sectie Communicatiewetenschap. Haar onderzoek focust op sociale invloed binnen sociale media. Tijdens haar PhD (Tilburg, 2022) onderzocht ze hoe visuele merk-gerelateerde User Generated Content op sociale media zoals Instagram invloed kan hebben op wat mensen denken over een product of merk. Later is ze de principes van sociale invloed via sociale media toe gaan passen op maatschappelijke thema's en gedragsverandering. Voorbeelden van onderzoekslijnen zijn het gebruik van influencers om gezond gedrag te stimuleren en het gebruik van emoties in klimaatcommunicatie op sociale media. Annemarie is aangesloten bij het Center for Social Influence en schrijft regelmatig blogs voor SWOCC (Stichting Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek Commerciële Communicatie).
