Bangyu Lan (studentlid, IEEE) behaalde in 2020 het bachelordiploma in Electronic Information Engineering van het Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai, China, en de M.Sc. graad in Elektrotechniek (Robotica en Mechatronica) aan de Universiteit Twente, Enschede, Nederland, in 2024. Hij had een jaar onderzoekservaring aan het Rochester Institute of Technology, VS, waar hij werkte aan multimodaal diep leren, met de nadruk op computertechnologie visie en beeldverwerking. Hij volgt momenteel een Ph.D. graad in Intelligente Robotica aan de Universiteit Twente. Zijn onderzoeksinteresses omvatten robotica-beeldvorming, robotprothesen en intelligente robotica, met een focus op de ontwikkeling van deep learning-technieken voor het interpreteren van ruwe signalen in robottoepassingen.
