dr.ir. F. van der Heijden (Ferdinand)

Over mij

Dr.ir. Ferdinand van der Heijden: universitair hoofddocent, MSc en PhD in Elektrotechniek, behaald in 1981 resp. 1992, beide aan de Universiteit Twente. Momenteel is hij verbonden aan de leerstoel Robotics and Mechatronics – Medical Applications. Zijn onderzoek is ondergebracht bij MIRA, het onderzoeksinstituut voor biomedische technologie en technische geneeskunde. Sinds 2014 is hij tevens verbonden aan het Netherlands Cancer Institute / Antoni van Leeuwenhoekziekenhuis. Hij verricht onderzoek op het gebied van beeld- en videoanalyse met toepassingen binnen de chirurgische navigatie, medische beeldanalyse en modellering. Hij is de auteur van twee succesvolle leerboeken: Image Based Measurement Systems en Classification, Parameter Estimation and State Estimation (2e editie verschenen in 2017).
