Geke Ludden is als professor hoofd van de UT-onderzoeksgroep Interaction Design binnen de faculteit Enigneering Technology (ET). Ook is ze als fellow verbonden aan het DesignLab van de UT. Sinds 2012 werkt Ludden als docent en onderzoeker op de UT. Ook was ze visiting research fellow aan de University of Technology Sydney. Daarvoor werkte Ludden als research consultant bij onderzoeksinstituut Novay. Haar wetenschappelijk werk is gepubliceerd in journals op het gebied van design en gezondheidszorg. Ze is co-redacteur van het handboek Design for behaviour change (sept 2017, Routledge) en van het boek Design for Mental Health and Wellbeing (2024, Routledge) en editor van het Journal of Design Research. Ludden heeft een achtergrond in industrieel ontwerpen en behaalde in 2008 haar PhD aan de TU Delft. Aan dezelfde universiteit behaalde Ludden in 2003 haar master Industrial Design Engineering.
