I.J. Da Silva Oliveira LLD (Ítalo)

Met een achtergrond als jurist, docent rechten en onderzoeker in rechtsfilosofie besloot ik een carrière in de computerwetenschappen na te streven, in de overtuiging dat informatietechnologie elk aspect van de maatschappij en elk onderzoeksgebied overneemt. Nu, als promovendus in CS, onder supervisie van Prof. Giancarlo Guizzardi, Enrico Franconi en Tiago Prince Sales, ben ik blij dat ik kan werken in een team van hooggekwalificeerde onderzoekers aan de Vrije Universiteit Bozen-Bolzano (Unibz) en de Universiteit Twente (UT), waar ik onderzoek doe naar Formele Ontologie en Conceptuele Modellering, en toepassingen voor beveiligingsmodellering. Dat is geen gemakkelijke weg geweest, maar ik ben altijd geduldig en volhardend geweest in het bereiken van mijn doelen.

Mijn onderzoek maakt gebruik van een ontologie-gedreven benadering van beveiligingsmodellering. In het bijzonder stel ik een algemene preventietheorie voor die gebaseerd is op de Unified Foundational Ontology (UFO) om een referentie-ontologie van beveiliging op te baseren, genaamd de "Reference Ontology for Security Engineering" (ROSE).

Ik ben geïnteresseerd in het ontwikkelen van goed onderbouwde semantische oplossingen die begrijpelijk, interpreteerbaar en interoperabel zijn voor zowel mensen als machines.
