I’m Mehrnaz, a new PhD at the department. I did my bachelors in Architectural Engineering in Iran, and finished my masters in Data Science and AI in the UK. My masters thesis focused on energy consumption forecasting in residential homes.
This January, I have started my PhD working on the PRE-MADONA project under the supervision of Dr. Farid Vahdatikhaki, and Dr. Monica Pena Acosta at the University of Twente. The research focuses on developing data driven digital tools to support mass scale energy renovation of buildings by enabling better coordination, clustering, and decision-making among multiple stakeholders.
Beyond research, I enjoy painting, traveling, and taking random classes. If you’d like to know more about my work or just have a chat, you can find me at the corner desk in the young researchers room.
