Over mij

Ella Velner is een PhD student bij de Human Media Interaction group aan de Universiteit Twente. 

Ella Velner heeft een bachelor Communicatie- en Informatiewetenschappen gedaan aan de VU Amsterdam. Hier heeft zij kennis opgedaan over onder meer taalwetenscahppen, communicatievormen en -theorieën en over media en hoe je die analyseert. Daarna heeft ze een master Information Systems gedaan aan de UvA, wat zij heeft afgesloten met een scriptie over intonatie in robot spraak. In 2019 is zij gestart als PhD'er bij HMI. Daar doet ze onderzoek naar spraak in kind-robot-media interactie en hoe dit op een verantwoorde manier gedaan kan worden. Haar promotor is prof. dr. V. Evers, en haar supervisors zijn dr. K.P. Truong en dr. R.J.F. Ordelman. Ella wil de technologie en de mens met elkaar verbinden en zien hoe mens-robot interactie het best gedaan kan worden.
