Seyedreza (Reza) Azizghalehsari behaalde zijn B.Sc-graad in elektrotechniek in 2011 aan de Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (voorheen bekend als Mazandaran University), Babol, Iran, en zijn masterdiploma in elektrotechniek in 2015 met een focus op de optimale dimensionering van energiebronnen in een plug-in hybride elektrisch voertuig aan de Shahrood University of Technology, Shahrood, Iran.

Na zijn afstuderen werkte hij als onderzoeker in een hoogspanningslaboratorium en als universitair docent aan Technische en Beroepsuniversiteiten. Vanaf mei 2019 werkte hij als onderwijsassistent en labcoördinator in de ICD-groep aan de Universiteit Twente, waarna hij werkzaam was als laboratoriumtechnicus voor batterijtesten in de PE-groep, tot zijn aanstelling als PhD-kandidaat aan de Universiteit Twente in september 2020.

Zijn belangrijkste onderzoeksinteresses omvatten diagnostiek en prognostiek van Li-ion batterijen, echelon-gebruik, batterijmetingen, batterijmodellering, e-mobiliteitsoplossingen en energieopslagsystemen.
