Saskia Kelders is in 2005 afgestudeerd aan de opleiding Bewegingswetenschappen van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Verder heeft zij de opleiding tot leraar basisonderwijs succesvol afgerond. In 2007 is ze gestart met haar promotieonderzoek aan de Universiteit Twente en in 2012 is ze gepromoveerd op haar proefschrift ‘Understanding adherence to web-based interventions’. Haar onderzoeksinteresses liggen op het gebied van eHealth en eMental Health, specifiek op:

  • Positieve technologie
  • Adherentie aan e(Mental) Health interventies
  • Het inzetten van persuasieve technologie en game-elementen om het gebruik en de effectiviteit van interventies te vergroten
  • Het ontwikkelen van online interventies
  • Het gebruik van log-data om online interventies te verbeteren
