Na het afronden van een EngD project over het meten van het circulariteitsniveau van brugontwerpen tussen 2017 en 2019, heb ik een PhD-project uitgevoerd over de transitie naar een circulaire infrastructuur vanuit een sociotechnisch perspectief. Mijn huidige onderzoeksinteresses richten zich op de governance- en managementaspecten van maatschappelijke uitdagingen, missies en transities in het civieltechnische domein en de bredere gebouwde omgeving. Hierbij heb ik een specifieke interesse in de transitie naar een circulaire economie. In mijn onderzoeks- en onderwijsactiviteiten streef ik ernaar om de abstracte maatschappelijke uitdagingen te verbinden met landelijk en regionaal beleid, organisatorische processen en bouwmanagementpraktijken.
